COERR has been implementing the program for the extremely vulnerable individual refugees (EVIs), i.e. children, elderly and handicapped, in all 9 border camps in Mae Hong Son, Tak, Kanchanaburi and Ratchaburi provinces.
During January – April 2011, COERR Field Office in Mae Hong Son Province has supported the vocational training program for the vulnerable in Ban Mai Nai Soi and Ban Mae Surin refugee camps to produce the following supplies: 176,172 candles 6,067 bars of soap and 3,925 bottles of balm-oil. These products are usually for their own use and for other EVIs in need.

During February 14-18, 2011 COERR Program Social Workers (PSW) provided social work skills training to the Community Social Workers (CSW) in Ban Mai Nai Soi Camp. The training served as a review for old CSW and as an orientation for new CSW who joined the program this year.
At the same period of time, an on-the-job-training was conducted by the COERR Mae Hong Son Staff. The activity included guiding and monitoring the work of the CSW in Bin Card recording, which keeps data of the vocational training production and distribution, to be precise and up-to-date and also enables staff to know the balance that help calculating the production of candle, soap, balm oil and children clothes that will be required for the following month.
In March, the similar on-the-job trainings in Bin Card recording and monthly report preparation were provided to CSWs in Ban Mae Surin Camp. Knowledge in BIN CARD processing and stock control, i.e. recording of stock receipts and issues and the running balance on hand, is necessary to keep staff informed of planning of production and distribution.
